Summer ‘Anolani Estudillo joined the halau in 2005 dancing in the ‘Ilima class. She is fortunate to
dance with the ladies of the ‘Ilima class at various concerts and competing at the Ia’Oe E Ka La Hula
Festival 2007. She is a haumana of the Ho’opa’a and ‘Ilima class and an instructor to the Maile class
beginning 2009 under the supervision of Kumu Hula Rolanda Mohala Reese. With Kumu Mohala’s
guidance, ‘Anolani is able to learn, preserve and share the Hawaiian cultures and traditions.

‘Anolani started dancing and learning the Hawaiian hula life since 1998 under Kumu Hula Clarice
Wahineali’i Nuhi at Carson, CA. She attended workshops such as Ka ‘Aha Hula ‘O Halauaola World
Conference in Hula in Hillo, HI (2001) and E Pili Kakou in Lihue, Kaua’i (2002).

‘Anolani was born and raised in the Philippines. Her father is from Pahala, HI and her mother is from the
Philippines. ‘Anolani is a mother of a 3-year old hearing-impaired child; therefore, she knows and is
learning sign language. She believes that family always comes first.
